Where to eat in Santanyí: our food guide to the village

Santanyí has gone from being a quiet village in southern Mallorca to becoming a small food destination. In its stone streets you'll find everything from Italian trattorias to creative Mediterranean cooking, almost all a few minutes' walk from the penthouse. Here's our guide to getting it right.

Mediterranean and market cooking

  • Anoa — Contemporary Mediterranean, one of the top tables in the village. Seasonal produce and careful presentation. Ideal for a special dinner.
  • Laudat — Market cooking with creative touches. A safe bet for a relaxed meal.
  • Retroway — A varied European menu and a very well-thought-out wine list.

Italian cooking

  • Es Vinyet — Italian with fresh produce and a cosy atmosphere, right in the centre. A classic that rarely disappoints.
  • Pomodoro — Fresh pasta and wood-fired pizza. Perfect for a casual family dinner.

For tapas and the evening

  • Alchemy — Signature cocktails and fusion tapas. The place to start the night or linger over a good drink.
  • India — Authentic Indian cooking, the ideal choice if you fancy something with spice and a bit of heat.

Our tip

In July and August book ahead, especially for dinner: the good tables go fast. And make the most of being in the centre: you can walk there, enjoy your wine without worrying about the car, and stroll back to the penthouse under the old town's street lamps. That's one of the great advantages of staying in the heart of Santanyí.
